Sibling Love

A few weeks ago Mr. Bananas tried to crawl onto and across the kitchen table.  Of course I reprimanded him and made him get down.  His face fell, his mouth opened wide, he gave the silent scream, and then began to wail.  I took a video of him after the fact and when Buggy was giving some sisterly advice. You can hear her tell him to be "just like a big boy." There are still big tears on his face as she's speaking to him.  However, he calmed down and she sat next to him for comfort.

I love that she took the time to give him some sisterly advice and she supported Mommy's stance on "NO crawling on the table!"  He calmed down, rubs his eyes, sat with her quietly. I love that I was able to capture this moment of sibling love.

On another note of sibling love, I was pushing the stroller to school one evening for a fun walk and the big kids were walking in front of me. Boogie was sharing something with his sister and put his arm around her. I wasn't able to take out my camera fast enough to snap a quick picture, but it is something I will not forget.

Watching them reminds me of a song I sang when I was a little girl:

Beloved, Let Us Love One Another 1 John 4:7, 8

Beloved, let us love one another,
For love is of God
And everyone who loves
Is born of God and knows God.
He who loveth not, (clap! clap! clap!) knoweth not God,
For God is love!
Beloved let us love one another
First John Four Seven and Eight!
